Origin Details

Ethiopia (Yirgacheffe)

Region: Yirgacheffe
Processing: Washed
Species: Arabica
Varietals: Heirloom Ethiopian varieties
Altitude: 1700–2200 m
This coffee is sourced from the Yirgacheffe region of southern Ethiopia, an area internationally recognised for producing some of the most aromatic and refined coffees in the world.

Grown at elevations between 1700 and 2200 metres, the high altitude slows cherry maturation, contributing to bright acidity, floral aromatics, and layered complexity. The washed processing method enhances clarity and structure, allowing citrus and floral characteristics to stand out clearly in the cup.

Composed of traditional Ethiopian heirloom varieties, Yirgacheffe coffees are valued for their elegance, balance, and expressive flavour profiles, making them a benchmark for washed African coffees.

Yes. It is bright and aromatic while staying clean and elegant, a great introduction to floral, fruity coffee.

How should I grind my coffee for my brew method?

This coffee is indeed unique

"This coffee is indeed unique offering the flavour to the taste buds as it claims. First, I made a Turkish coffee drink with an added 30% of cold milk. The drink had a mild soothing flavour of a light roasted coffee. For the second time, I just made Turkish coffee all with water and no milk. The taste was quite citrusy unlike the first round made with milk. Now I wonder why this medium roast coffee has a paler colour compared with other medium roasts that yield a dark brown 🤔! I will be happy to hear from you soon! Thanks, Homa"

I like the apricot flavor

"I like the apricot flavor in it, but I prefer less acidity and more body. Next time I'm going to try a different Ethiopian variety."

Ivan B. (4/5)

something not right

"This should be a medium roast bean, it looks like a light roast, has a lot of fibrous chaff when ground. I need twice as much as I usually used from another roaster (now out of stock a long time) and brew twice as long."
