Where is Coffee Roast Lab based, and where do you ship?
Coffee Roast Lab is a specialty coffee roaster in Ottawa, Ontario. We roast weekly in small batches and ship across Canada and to many countries worldwide. Qualifying Canadian orders ship free, and international shipping, plus any customs or duties, is calculated at checkout. You can see the full details in our shipping policy.
How fresh is your coffee?
We roast in small batches every week, and orders ship within 3 business days of being placed, so your coffee reaches you soon after its roast day instead of sitting on a shelf. For the best flavour, enjoy it within a few weeks of the roast date, and see our Coffee Guide for brewing and storage tips.
Do you sell whole bean and ground coffee?
Yes. Every coffee comes as whole bean or ground to your preferred method, including espresso, filter, and French press. Whole bean holds its flavour longest, so grind just before brewing when you can. You can choose your grind on each coffee across our full range.
What is the difference between your medium and dark roasts?
Medium roasts are balanced and smooth with more of the origin character, while dark roasts are bold, rich, and full-bodied. Our espresso roast sits between the two, developed for body and a rich crema. The Coffee Guide explains roast levels and tasting notes in more detail.
Do you offer decaf or low-caffeine coffee?
Yes. We roast Swiss Water and sugarcane process decafs for a clean, chemical-free cup, and we also offer bold, high-caffeine Robusta coffees if you want a stronger lift. If you are not sure what suits you, try Find Your Coffee or email support@coffeeroastlab.com.
